Forest Park June 22

Ann and I went hiking in Forest Park.
We headed down to Balch creed shelter and then up to Pittock Mansion.
I had hoped for a clear day to take pictures of Portland, but it was partly cloudy.
I would love to take pictures from there at sunset someday.

A few insects

Took a few quick pictures the last couple of days.

Paradise Park on a new moon night. June 8th and 9th.

Ann and I backpacked up to Paradise Park on Mt Hood this weekend to get some new moon night pictures looking east away from Portland Oregon.
We were also lucky to see the International Space Station make a pass during sunset.

I first though I captured an airliner passing by, but looking at the time and location, I found out that it is actually the international space station making a pass. Now instead of being upset that my image was ruined by the streak, I am very happy.

Elk Mountain - Coast Range June 2nd

Ann and I did a day hike in the Coast range up Elk Mountian.
The wildflowers were in full force.
