Paradise Park on a new moon night. June 8th and 9th.

Ann and I backpacked up to Paradise Park on Mt Hood this weekend to get some new moon night pictures looking east away from Portland Oregon.
We were also lucky to see the International Space Station make a pass during sunset.

Split rock and Paradise Park still snow covered.

Looking south to Mt Jefferson.

Looking north to Mt St. Helens.

Portland lights at sunset

Tried to capture the Milky Way galaxy.

Split rock at night.

Tent at night.

I first though I captured an airliner passing by, but looking at the time and location, I found out that it is actually the international space station making a pass. Now instead of being upset that my image was ruined by the streak, I am very happy.
